My Favorite Classic Summer-to-Fall Transitional Outfit

As the seasons shift from summer to fall, I love putting together outfits that work for early fall days when it’s still warm, but cooler weather is making its way in, and you want more of a fall feel. This classic combination of a striped sweater, white chino shorts, sneakers, jewelry, and a crossbody bag is one of my favorite ways to transition between seasons. The sweater adds just enough fall influence while the shorts keep the outfit feeling right for late summer and early fall.
This is the kind of early fall outfit I find myself coming back to year after year because the pieces are classic and timeless, and easy to mix with things you probably already have in your closet. Swap in different sneakers or jewelry, change the bag, or trade the shorts for jeans as the weather cools, and you can keep the same basic look going into fall.
