As you set out to decorate your home, the first step is to look around for inspiration. Whether you’ve looked at photos of beautiful rooms on Pinterest, browsed the interior decor hashtag on Instagram (#interiordecor), or even flipped through a coffee table book, there’s a lot of great inspiration to be found.

Chances are you’ve come across at least a few things that have caught your eye, even got you excited for what your space could look like, only to be crushed once you click the sources and see the actual price tags for those items.

Some of these coastal home decor designer dupes are so spot-on that it really would be hard for someone to know that it wasn’t the real designer decor item. Other designer inspired items, when side-by-side with the real thing, don’t look exactly alike, but have all of the same qualities that give the look and feel of the original. While you might notice the differences when comparing them side-by-side online, once the piece is in your home, it will deliver the same look, feel, and coastal vibes as the designer version.

One thing to keep in mind is that designer items are likely to be of the highest quality, materials, and workmanship, whereas the designer inspired items could potentially sacrifice some, or all, of those things in order to have a lower price point. So as long as you keep in mind that the dupes are labeled as dupes based on their looks and not their quality, you won’t be disappointed. With that said, some dupes can be of great quality, so I’m not saying that just because something is a dupe means that it’s not good quality, just to not expect the same quality of a carefully crafted high-end designer item when you’re purchasing a mass-produced inexpensive version.

Items can quickly go out of stock, especially once it makes it onto social media, so if you see something you love, grab it!
